Help Sustain DuPage Thrive with a Fundraiser featuring Something Different

  • The Gathering Lighthouse (map)

Something Different is partnering with Sustain DuPage to use their music to give thanks for all that Planet Earth provides.  It is the band’s deepest belief that music is a uniting energy and has the power to build community that honors diversity.

Sustain DuPage received its 501(c)(3) nonprofit status back in 2016, and the 100% volunteer-run movement has been chugging along ever since! Our mission is to create opportunities to learn and live DuPage sustainability culture through five major "mission projects." If you are interested in:
1) art and artisanry as a tool for societal transformation, 2) environmental policy/grassroots community organizing, 3) sustainable agriculture and cooking, 4) restoring your relationship with our
ecosystem, and/or 5) exploring sustainability through reading and dialogue- you may want to hop on board this peace train! All people welcome. Let's love, where we live. For more information visit
sustaindupage.com.

Something Different formed in 2014 as a way to show the versatility of the Native American Flute.  Pat Smith and Karen Tlusty-Rissman play flutes to the accompaniment of John Rissman’s skillful guitar, ukulele, bouzouki and didgeridoo.  Their compositions include blues, ballads, Latin, Middle Eastern and other musical genres.  It is their greatest joy to share original music that celebrates all cultures.  Check out their music at somethingdifferent4u2.com.

This concert will feature new pieces as well as performances by Sustain DuPage members David Bravos and Jackie Harris.

Come and enjoy this amazing concert event and support Sustain DuPage!
