Asteroid Goddesses

The Asteroid Belt is a field of millions of objects that orbit the Sun between Mars and Jupiter. The first asteroid to be identified was Ceres in 1801 and she is now classified as a minor planet. Currently, we have identified and named over 600,000 objects in this region.

We will discuss several of the most prominent asteroids, the evolution of their mythology and how they can be used in chart interpretation.

Astrologically, these objects are in a region between the personal planets and the outer planets. They negotiate between the personal and the cultural or societal energies. Surprisingly, the first 432 asteroids were named for female deities. Incorporating even a few of these objects into a chart reading brings a more holistic interpretation as there is so much wisdom and creative power in the divine feminine.
