Reading the Tarot isn’t dry memorization of card meanings – it’s a conversation you have with another person on the intuitive level. Almost anyone can read the Tarot, and there’s no right way or wrong way ..
However, there IS a fast way and a slow way, and the quickest way is to engage your intuition! If you’re living your life by your intuitive nudges every day, OR If you’re not even sure you’ve ever encountered your intuition before, the Tarot is a proven way to ‘get in touch’ – and that connection will enable you to help others and yourself, using the cards.
This is Workshop #1 of a 2-part series. Workshop #2 will be held on March 26, and will cover the Majors, Minors and Courts in depth.
The first section of this first Workshop will help you learn the structure and meanings of the classic Rider-Waite-Smith deck. This is the deck that most Tarot decks are based on. The structure and meanings of the cards unlocks the power of the Tarot. This, in turn, unlocks your intuition! We will also learn three classic spreads: Yes/No Spread, Past/Present/Future Spread, and the most comprehensive of all Tarot spreads: The Celtic Cross. We will also cover why and how the Celtic Cross works so well.
In the second section of the class, we will do a short review, answer your questions, and then dive right into reading for each other with coaching and discussion as we progress through each reading. You will discover another layer of information in the cards, and sharpen your personal relationship to them and to your muse.
Please bring a Tarot deck to this class. It must be based on the Rider Waite deck. This would be the standard, 78-card Tarot deck. If you are not sure if you have the right deck, bring it anyway, and we’ll see if we can work with it. However, you may wind up taking the class without a deck. She lives in a log cabin on a lake in the woods outside Chicago.
The cost of the class is $50 or $40 each if you bring a friend who has not come to The Gathering Lighthouse before.
