Our speaker will be Ray Grasse and the title of his presentation is "Decoding the Highest Planet in the Horoscope. "In Ray's own words he goes on to say that we will explore the symbolism of the midheaven, how it differs from the 10th house, and the significance of planets closest to this point. Case studies will include many well-known figures from politics, show business, and science.
Ray is associate editor of The Mountain Astrologer magazine, and author of several books including The Waking Dream, Signs of the Times, and most recently, Under a Sacred Sky.

Skywatchers is an astrology group meetup that was first formed through "The Gathering Lighthouse" after severalstudents completed a twenty-four week course of beginning, intermediate, and advanced classes in astrology. The intent of the group is to help these students go over material from the course that needed review, but also to present new material not offered in any of the classes. Subsequent astrology students from TGLH will also be welcomed to join.

Skywatchers is open to the public and anyone who is even slightly versed in astrology can attend. The eventual goal is to have meetings where members look at and study the charts of people and share their findings.

The teacher Dave Gunning is generally the moderator, but anyone can lead the meetings if so desired. Dave will also have outside speakers come in to present from time to time.
